Anything Under the Sun Made By Man: Barman is Excellent

I just finished Barman by Alex Wellen. What a facinating book!

Alex traces his journey through taking the New York bar exam and the first few months of work in a big law firm. His writing style is fun, self deprocating, and a joy to read.

Alex invented a ping pong paddle as an engineering student at Rutgers and had a bad experience with a patent attorney, which got him turned toward law. One thing led to another, and now he is an attorney. (Since then, he is a big time TV producer in San Fransisco.)

I, too, started down the road to law school after spending too much money and getting bad advice from a patent attorney. Some of the lessons learned are posted throughout this blog, such as here.

Many thanks to Alex for sending me the book and thanks to Ernie the Attorney for offering it as a prize.
